The project draws inspiration from the traditional definition of a manuscript as a document written by hand, as opposed to one mechanically printed or reproduced. This concept resonates with the artist’s practice, which exists in the middle ground between hand gesture (drawing) and mechanical production (3d printing). Rooted in hand-drawn movement and intuitive digital sculpting, the artist uses a pen and graphic tablet to model directly in three dimensions, bypas- sing parametric methods for a more organic, clay-like digital material shaped by hand in the computer. This approach imbues the digital forms with emotional depth and a sense of aliveness, blending human sensitivity with technology. The work is a formal exploration of the translation of gesture into three-dimensional space. Unfolding as fictional, open worlds reminiscent of video game environments, the manuscript eschews defined goals or linear narratives, inviting viewers to navigate their ambiguity. The forms, at once primitive and futu- ristic, evoke early rock art, ornamental motifs, abstract symbols and digital aesthetics, inviting interpre- tation while resisting specific references.
