Babetto is a worker in precious metals. Rather than using precious stones in his jewellery designs, he uses a mixture of pigment and resin to create gems that are set in gold or silver. The outside of his 3D-manuscript is silver-plated; the inside is inlayed with red and black pigment. Each colour covers the same dimensions but evokes different colour sensations and associations. Red is more round than black. Black is more spacious than red.
