The cupboard motif is employed as an image/metaphor for the most tangible form of a space determined by boundaries, within which lies the unbounded. It is the space in which all things have their place, where they have a possible connection, a reversibility or a double meaning. All of these substantive elements refer to different areas, such as those of: inner world/outer world, open/closed, conceal/display, foreground/background. These are the places we long for, about which we have our assumptions, born of observation, experience and illusion.
