The spatial manuscript does not have a closed and open form, but rather consists of a number of individual structural elements, which can be assembled to form a whole. The work can be construed as a form of landscape representation. It evokes images that refer to an environment with characteristics such as dock architecture, shipping, quays, water and the Dutch landscape with its horizontal articulations. Visual reality is reduced to an elementary form. The image can also be seen as a model for a large-scale monumental version. Placed in this environment, it seeks to engage with a specific architectural quality. As a self-evident element, it endeavours to acquire greater significance in this space and to strengthen the whole.
