OPPAKKEN EN MEENEMEN

My grandmother’s cutlery chest: drawers with compartments in which the silverware was kept. Every fork, every knife, the cake-slice, the gravy spoon had its place. When the house was emptied after she died, the silverware was divided up. Every day, I eat with the knives and forks from that cutlery chest.
Ordering – pattern – continuous lines.
On the cover of my book is a mountain (Switzerland ’94). The mountain stands for the first thought in your head with the idea.
The book contains a collection of 12 stones, which serve as a handle for developing an idea. They contain examples of systems, of growth, of ordering, of history.
Stones you can turn in your hand and feel.
