The spatial manuscript has been realized as a welded metal object in the shape of a book. ‘Worms’ light up when the iron cover is opened. Margreet van der Loos’ humoristic approach is intended to evoke whimsical associations. Two polarized starting points are characteristic of her work. The approach and the design are determined by the nature of the material. The three-dimensional welding work shows the light-hearted approach. This contrasts with the artist’s other work, which is profound and serious and which finds expression in her paintings on a flat surface.
