This spatial manuscript can be viewed on two sides. One side shows a window without a view: a diffuse emptiness, comparable to looking without seeing anything, staring. On the other side, this window does have a view: a group of nomads who are moving through an empty landscape. There is virtually no architecture to carry; in order to maintain the group’s mobility, they take only the barest essentials, carefully packed, with them. In this work, the concept of space is conceived as a place. The work contains themes that evoke metaphorical images of boundaries or, conversely, of passage.
