Pet name: ‘Little door’.
The spatial manuscript is executed as a blue painted wooden case. At the front there is a ‘little door’, mounted on four hinges. The interior is just visible through the edges of the door opening, which have been left open and are painted red. The opposites open/closed and motion/motionless have determined the design, while colour contrasts reinforce the image. A space, which no one can reach, has come into being, a space that ignores its surroundings. At the same time, the viewer’s associations give rise to stories about this space.
