The spatial manuscript has been designed as a synthesis between a book and an architectural model.
THE BOOK
The following can be observed: letters, paper, pages, cover with if desired a different illustration, a visual, two-dimensional representation of a physical quality. The design of the whole has been conceived within the existing codes, which again can be read as a language. The rules of the prevailing aesthetic determine the extent to which the object is appreciated. The norms of expectation make it necessary to form a book in such a manner that it can be read in the usual way. Physical laws determine the appearance of the incorporated materials. Reading, ordering that which is observed.
THE ARCHITECTURAL MODEL
Materiality, proportions, volume, interior and exterior spaces, detailing etc. are incorporated in a virtual reality. Connections are made between elements, groups of elements become complex bearers of meaning, which are ingeniously related to yet other groups in order to form hemispheres of meaning. When the entire trajectory has been completed, everything finally comes together in comprehensible conclusions. The image as a life-size maquette.
