The intensely black manuscript is a box with in the lid the title : ETUDE DE L’IMMEUBLE VERSO ET DU PARC VERSEAUX AUX COTÉS DE LA RUE TRAVERSIERE / After Le Corbusier, Vers Une Architecture, editions Vincent, Fréal & Cie, Nouvelle édition revue et augmentée, 1958.
The box contains a maquette that is made up of the book by Le Corbusier with the cover facing upwards. A simple street pattern turns the book into two identical blocks; the left-hand block comprises the text blocks and the photograph on a blue ground level, the right-hand block is its negative.
