RUIMTE IS ONDER EEN BOOM
Henk Moen
Architect

Five Plexiglass pages, which can be pulled out individually, contain mathematical series and statements about space. Henk Moen uses combinations of these as design principles in his work. The five ‘pages’ are joined together by an olive wood cylinder. This little tree trunk with clearly visible growth rings refers to the laws of growth and design in nature. ‘Space is under a tree’ is the result of a study to find structures that do not constrain, but rather – as in nature – offer scope. Moen’s personal design approach as an architect is represented as an ideal model in the form of a spatial manuscript.
